Authorize.net tops 200,000 merchant customer mark PDF Print E-mail
CyberSource Corporation says that its Authorize.Net solution has achieved another merchant milestone, surpassing 200,000 active merchants on that payment service. This milestone closely follows Authorize.Net's November 1, 2007 merger with CyberSource. With the merger, CyberSource is now one of the industry's largest providers of payment management solutions, with more than 220,000 merchants.

Authorize.Net is the small business solution for CyberSource, catering primarily to merchants that process less than $3 million annually in card volume. Founded in 1996, Authorize.Net has seen dramatic growth in its merchant base over the past few years. While it took approximately eight years for the company to surpass 100,000 active merchants, achieving that milestone in August 2004, it took only slightly more than three additional years to double that number.
"Authorize.Net owes much of its success to its partners and employees," stated Roy Banks, Authorize.Net president. "Our partners, particularly our resellers, have been loyal and dedicated in selling our products and services. They are an important part of our business and instrumental to the success we have enjoyed. We remain committed to serving them and helping them meet the payment management needs of their merchant customers. It is also important to credit the hard work and dedication of our employees. This is a tremendous achievement that has been accomplished through their combined efforts."
