ETA is accepting nominations for its 2008 Awards, which will be presented at the President's Dinner on April 15, during the Annual Meeting and Expo at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. These awards honor those who have contributed to ETA's success over the past year along with industry leaders. The criteria for the awards are listed below along with links to the nomination forms. All nominations must be received by February 4, 2008. Don't miss this opportunity to nominate your deserving colleagues!

This award is presented to an ETA member company that has demonstrated an overwhelming level of support for the association in the past year, as evidenced by activities such as sponsorship of ETA events, advertising in ETA publications, speaking at ETA events, serving on committees, and otherwise helping to further the association's goals and objectives.

This award is presented to a current Committee that has had the greatest impact on ETA over the past year as evidenced by its tremendous effort, unparalleled team spirit, and collective accomplishments resulting in programs, products or services that provided increased value to ETA members and otherwise helped the association move toward its strategic goals.

This award is presented to a current ETA committee volunteer who has exhibited an outstanding dedication of time and effort to his or her committee over the past year, demonstratively contributing to its overall success.

Presented for the first time in 2007, this award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated significant leadership within the industry and is an acknowledged trend-setter, role model, and positive contributor to its efficacy and image. Criteria include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops/drives industry trends (e.g. business process innovations, technical products/services that become widely used in the marketplace, etc.)
  • Recognized as a respected and valued payments professional by industry constituents and external entities; garners respect for the industry with and from external stakeholders
  • Contributes positively to the overall perception of the industry, as evidenced by their personal attributes of integrity, high ethical standards, professionalism, etc.
  • Actively and demonstratively contributes to the collective success of the payments industry

This award recognizes an individual from a current ETA member company who embodies the true spirit of ETA and has demonstrated exemplary leadership skills while giving extraordinary time, effort and ideas that have resulted in significant and meaningful contributions to the future success of ETA. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Writing, speaking or presenting at ETA events
  • Serving as a spokesperson, subject matter expert or otherwise representing ETA’s interests to external stakeholders
  • Providing intellectual capital, resources, or other expertise in support of ETA service delivery
  • Actively serving in a volunteer capacity
  • Helping to develop new programs, products or services for ETA members
  • Otherwise supporting the advancement of ETA’s strategic goals

This award is presented to an ETA member company whose creative and novel use of technology in the transaction processing industry increases standardization, promotes customer usability, increases profitability, or otherwise significantly advances their company and the industry as a whole. The nominated solution should be in current use in the marketplace, with demonstrated results.
