Expanded Data Breach Provisions Removed As Connecticut Bill Advances

Provisions in a bill that would have amended Connecticut's data breach notification law to authorize individuals to sue for damages and shorten the deadline for notifying people if their Social Security numbers were breached were removed from a bill before clearing the Legislature the end of April.
