For the secure My ETA section of our Web Site to function properly, you must have cookies enabled in your Web Browser.

Cookies are small bits of data that a Web site stores in your browser to permit the site to work properly. The MyETA section of our site uses a special type of cookie called a "session cookie" that tells the site that you are a valid, logged-in user as you move from page to page within My ETA and keeps track of your progress. This cookie expires when you close your browser or log out of My ETA, is removed from your browser, and cannot be used by any other application to violate your privacy.

In all browsers, if cookies are blocked, an attempt to log in will fail without explanation. We are working to remedy this behavior, but for now, if you type in a valid id and password and the screen returns to a blank login form, you should check your cookie settings.

To check or adjust those settings, you can do the following:

In Internet Explorer:

1. Go to the control panel at Tools->Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab.

2. Click the Advanced button, click the checkbox marked Override automatic cookie handling, and check the box marked Allow all session cookies, OR

3. Use the slider to lower the security level (this may be temporary, if you choose) to allow cookies.

In Firefox (or other Netscape-based browsers):

1. Go to the control panel at Tools->Options and click on the Privacy icon.

2. Click on the checkbox labeled Allow cookies from sites. (In some versions, you may be able to restrict cookies, but allow www.electran.org and etamembers.org to place cookies as exceptions to the general rule.

If altering your cookie settings doesn't not solve your login problem, please contact ETA and someone will assist you.
