Compliance Day is your opportunity to get answers to complex issues
and insight directly from representatives of each of the major card brands.

Periodically, ETA  produces a new edition of Compliance Day. The next event is now being planned for the 2008 ETA Annual Meeting & Expo in Las Vegas, NV.

Compliance Day provides a forum for banks, processors and ISOs to get up to date information directly from top officials of the card brands. This day-long event provides an opportunity for you to get accurate information on card company rules and mandates. This knowledge will enable you to more fully comply with industry requirements (e.g., what an ISO needs to do to ensure they are compliant). This will enable you to provide higher quality service and assistance to clients (i.e., merchants) in an increasingly complex and competitive regulatory environment.

Representatives from all the major card companies will be on hand to provide you with answers to such frequently asked questions as:

  • "Who's Who" inside the card companies and how do they define your role in the industry?
  • What are the obligations of the various players (i.e., sponsor banks, ISOs, processors, agents, etc.) to the card companies?
  • Who is required to register: the sponsor, ISO, agent, processor, their sales representatives or all of the above?
  • What does the registrations and due diligence process entail?
  • What are the financial obligations and potential fines or penalties for non-compliance?
  • What due diligence is required from the sponsoring bank, processors agents and the ISOs.
  • What is involved in the merchant due diligence process?
  • What are your obligations regarding the on-going risk assessment of your merchants?
  • What is required to be in the merchant agreements?
  • What are the guidelines for using VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Network brands in your marketing materials?

Get a perspective from leading Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) organizations on real world practices, key challenges and lessons learned for securing critical data. Through a discussion of actual case studies, senior executives from AmbironTrustWave and Cybertrust, two highly respected business solutions providers, attendees will learn the important role ISOs play in ensuring merchant clients understand and comply with PCI requirements.

Compliance Day is a unique educational program that offers attendees the chance to speak one-on-one with experts from American Express, Discover Network, MasterCard and Visa. In advance of the program, registrants will be afforded an opportunity to identify specific questions to be answered by the brand representatives during the event.
