While some payments professionals are specializing in niche products and services, Hypercom is taking the opposite approach, offering onestop-shopping for nearly all of the industry’s needs. The Phoenix-based company’s array of products and services includes everything from countertop and mobile credit/debit payment terminals to network devices and services that expedite the transmission of vital data.
“I think what differentiates us from everyone else in this market is that we play in all parts of the payments ecosystem,” says Hypercom President and CEO Philippe Tartavull, who joined the company as COO in 2007. “We are present from the POS terminal to the payment gateway to the transport of the transaction: We secure transactions from the beginning of the process to the end.”
