The issue of interchange seems to be everywhere these days. Early in July, the 7-Eleven convenience store chain placed approximately 10,000 “signature books” on store counters around the United States, asking customers to sign these petitions protesting the interchange fees that “credit card companies” charge for each transaction. The company said it collected its goal of tne million signatures in just a few days.
