Elan Financial Services and Infonox Partner to launch PASS+ Kiosks
ST. PAUL, Minn. and SAN JOSE, Calif. (April 26, 2007) -- Infonox and
Elan Financial Services have partnered to develop a self-service kiosk
that will enable consumers to perform multiple financial functions such
as paying bills, making deposits from remote locations, cashing payroll
checks, transferring funds and purchasing money orders and prepaid
cards.
This strategic partnership will provide an end-to-end kiosk product
line called PASS+ to financial institutions, Independent Sales
Organizations (ISOs) and retail partners, utilizing the Infonox Active
Payment Platform™ in conjunction with transaction processing from Elan
Financial Services, a provider of EFT processing solutions for
financial institutions and retail clients. The PASS+ line of kiosks
will come pre-loaded with Infonox software for transactional, business,
and systems management services. PASS+ is the first “plug-and-play,”
end-to-end system that is certified with back-end service providers
needed to offer this full range of functionality and services.
Elan Financial Services will provide marketing, back-office, cash management, EFT processing, settlement services, and vendor management for the PASS+ Kiosks while the Infonox platform provides Kiosk software, device management and driving, switching, monitoring and support functions. By utilizing a scalable and extensible platform like the APP, Elan Financial Services can deliver the flexibility needed to customize a variety of transaction types in the most rapid fashion, and in response to the emerging demand for self service kiosks by merchants and smaller financial institutions that seek to efficiently deliver core financial services to their customers.
The PASS+ models will deliver multiple fee-based services like payroll check cashing, bill payment, money transfers, prepaid cards through gateway links that Infonox has certified with major financial service providers, including Elan. The PASS+ kiosks aggregate and deliver transactional and business services in a customizable and co-branded footprint. The initial rollout of the financial services set will include combinations of ATM, payroll check cashing, walk-in bill payment, deposit automation and debit card activation.
